Windstar Cruises
Windstar Cruises operates a growing fleet of small sailing ships and all-suite yachts known for its intimate, private yacht-style experience, relaxed atmosphere and port-intensive itineraries. Each Windstar yacht carries fewer than 350 guests, allowing the line to visit smaller ports, hidden harbours and off-the-beaten-path destinations that larger ships often cannot reach.
Windstar sails to more than 330 ports across over 60 countries, with itineraries spanning Europe, the Caribbean, Costa Rica and the Panama Canal, Asia, Alaska, Canada and New England, Central America, Mexico, the U.S. West Coast and year-round voyages in Tahiti and French Polynesia.
The fleet combines Wind Class sailing yachts with Star Class all-suite yachts. Recent growth includes Star Seeker, Windstar’s newest 224-guest all-suite yacht, which began its first sailing season in December 2025. Her sister yacht, Star Explorer, is scheduled to debut in December 2026, expanding the fleet to eight yachts. Both feature 112 suites, upgraded amenities and the new Basil + Bamboo specialty restaurant.
Windstar is known for immersive, authentic travel experiences, personalised service, distinctive small-ship itineraries and a strong culinary programme. Its onboard experience is designed to feel informal yet refined, with an emphasis on destination connection, local culture, relaxed luxury and the freedom of yacht-style cruising.
Recent recognition includes a series of 2025 USA Today 10Best honours, including #2 Best Boutique Cruise Line, #5 Best Cruise Line for Shore Excursions and #5 Best Ocean Cruise Line. Windstar was also named #1 Best Boutique Cruise Line by USA Today 10Best in 2024 and ranked #3 in Travel + Leisure’s Readers’ 5 Favorite Small-Ship Ocean Cruise Lines of 2024.
